Food cravings
Today was one of those gorgeous November days when the sun is shining and you feel the need to get out of your messy flat a.s.a.p. We got into the car and drove a few kilometers outside of town, looking for the perfect spot to take Charlie for a walk. We ended up finding a sunny little path, leading nowhere really but it was beautiful, the air was crisp and we picked an entire dog poo bag with chestnuts.
Chestnuts is truly my all time autumn favorite food. My mum always baked them in the oven and we would have them with loads of butter, sea salt and lemon. YUM. Can't wait to try these - just hoping that Andrea will abandon the idea of cooking them the Italian way - on the stove, apparently a common way of preparing them here. Chestnuts is, however, not on the menu tonight. I've had a crazy craving for Indian food since we left Berlin basically, and tonight we'll be trying out a restaurant here in town. Don't get me wrong, I love, LOVE Italian food, but I also go bananas for all things hot and spicy. I got really spoiled in Berlin, having all kinds of restaurants around the corner from our house and I miss skipping out of the flat to grab a Halloumi im Brot or some Summer rolls. I daydream about Vietnamese and Thai food pretty much every day and these types of cuisines you don't find in this little town of ours. Need I say that I am excited?! Pin It
